Wellington police say they fear for the safety of a local woman who has been missing for many days. Police are reporting Hekia Parata hasn’t been heard from since she left work to go on a short six-week holiday early this week.
Detective Sherlock Poirot of the Wellington CID says, “It’s completely out of character for Ms. Parata to remain this silent for this long. She is usually very vocal with plenty of nothing to say.”
Police say they expect to make very little progress due to much of the information they’ve already gathered being supplied by the Ministry of Education.
“Some of it is good,” says Poirot, “but mostly it doesn’t make any sense.”
Ms. Parata’s Beehive employer says there is very little he can do for the missing woman and is planning to let the market search for his missing colleague.
